Reed Rigging’s Service Department is the region’s largest, best-equipped certified CM Warranty Repair Station for the entertainment industry. Each year, we service an average of 500 theatrical chain hoists.

If you haven’t had your hoists or other lifting equipment serviced in the past year, you don’t know their true condition. Our annual inspection and load-test procedure exceeds ASME B30.16-1999 requirements. It provides you with a certificate that shows the results of both a live and static load test, along with details of any service performed and/or any parts replaced, and is provided electronically, for archival purposes.

Next to the load protector, the load chain is the most important part of your hoist. Reed Rigging’s Service Department is trained to perform a link-by-link inspection of your load chain, either individually or as part of a full inspection. If your hoists are subjected to outdoor or heavy show production use, you will benefit from a full inspection, which includes a complete tear-down, gear re-greasing, and brake and electrical inspection.

We can come to you. If you can’t ship your hoists to our shop, we can ship our test stand and service equipment to you, and inspect your equipment on-site. Our mobile shop, complete with tools and parts, arrives with our technician, and your hoists never leave your shop.
